@rosiekind Thanks Rosie, no they are not native to this country but a few years ago they were quite easy to find in many parts of the country.
They had got quite well established from escapees, however it was decided that they were causing too many problems to native species so a massive cull took place.
Not sure if there are any left in the wild in the U.K now.
This was at the local WWT reserve.
that lovely curved beak is set off so well against the brown feathers. I wonder about the tail feathers though. Perhaps there has been some misfortune.
