So I was down at Spike Island this morning. A walk, a coffee, and a camera, quite a good combination. I didn't have the right lens for the Kingfisher, but there again, he was not on show.
I saw a few blue lights flash by on the road, and heard sirens wailing. Police and ambulances going down to deal with an incident.
Then suddenly out of a bright blue sky, this appeared, he flew lower, did two circuits of the area, and then proceeded to land on the large grassy area.
As soon as he landed, two doctors or paramedics jumped out and ran off towards whatever was happening out on the road.
Fortunately it was obviously not a serious incident and within five minutes they were back at the helicopter, their services not being required.
They asked people to move back a bit, climbed back on board and took off.
I doubt the whole thing lasted ten minutes.
