SKY BOARDING by markp

SKY BOARDING

I went up Cairngorm mountain to the Ski area today. Again loads of photo opportunities, the snow, the views, on a clear day you can see Ben Nevis, over 50 miles away. Of course there are also all the snow sports taking place up there and on Monday night while I was photographing flaming trees the mountain top got a least 4 inches of lovely fresh snow. As you can see, people were making the most of it.
Great shot!

@ellaelami @dave_rv Thank you both.
But I think it looks a bit darker on here than on my screen.

@markp Yes, it might look a tad dark, but you can be forgiven a lot with a capture like that! :-)

Monitor calibration can be a pain to get right, but it's interesting to hear you say it looks darker posted. I do seem to recall reading an article somewhere on the way different browsers can render images, but I've looked at this in IE, Opera and Firefox, and all three look identical.

@dave_rv Now you've got me clicking back and to. I am using Safari and iPhoto and have the original one on my iPad and logged in on that as well. After many looks between them all I think its just an effect of the border. On 365 normal size the borders white and picture looks darker, view it large and the border is black, the same as full screen in iPhoto and it appears slightly lighter. Think its one of those weird tricks your eyes sometime play upon you. Thank you for taking the time to have a look.
