A BUM SHOT by markp

A BUM SHOT

I went to a local pond today, maybe get a nice shot of a flying seagull, but the seagulls would not play ball or even just fly past. I turned my attention to the other birds around and started watching this Coot and what a hoot that was. This birds mate was sat on a nest in the reeds not far away and anything that went anywhere near was swiftly chased away. Moorhens and an assortment of ducks got the treatment and were seen off. Most amazingly, there was a Mute Swan cruising up and down and at least three times this plucky little Coot launched an attack on this much larger bird, biting and pecking the Swans tail. The Swan did not put up a fight just got out of the way as fast as possible. I got several shots of the attacks and I could not decide whether to post the attack or this Bum Shot just as the Coot dove for food.
Wonderfu;! I see that someone approves of your style of photography Mark! ;o)
