WATCHING

This House Sparrow ( Passer domesticus ) perched in the branches above the feeders today, was watching. Watching and waiting for his turn to feed, but also keeping a beady eye on me.

What a grand shot of this cheeky chappy! I didn't realise that the size of the black bib denotes where the males stand in the pecking order. Bigger bib, higher rank.
