FALLEN FEAST REVISITED by markp

FALLEN FEAST REVISITED

Decided to have another go at this, same patch of fallen apples, more decay and fallen leaves have added to the scene. I think it is interesting how the apples seem to be rotting in different ways, and how some just don't appear to have changed at all. I also took some black and white shots and have posted one in my other album.

An all too familiar sight - the birds are not interested in them yet so they just rot away. Nice autumnal tones

Fabulous shot - the windfalls in my garden are half consumed within 48 hours! Then I tend to pick them up so as not to encourage rodents!

@virtualbrownie Thank you very much Brownie, the birds are beginning to take an interest in them now, there is a Blackbird that will stand right next to me picking away at them now.

@plainjaneandnononsense thank you very much Jane, my garden is too big and there are far too many apples and things to pick them all up, if I do move them off the lawn I only put them in piles to rot down and create compost. My garden has and always has had a colony of Wood Mice, much nicer and cuter than smelly House Mice, they don't normally live indoors. If they get too numerous the local cats seem to keep them in check.
