A LINK IN THE CHAIN

I had an idea for today, but by the time I was free to try it, the rain started as I arrived at my chosen site. Rapid return home, and into the garden under cover.
Terrible light and a high ISO, so fairly pleased with the results.
A Coal Tit again checking that its safe to flit over to the old Christmas Tree, still can't catch it in the tree.
Hi Mark, you might find this post interesting that I did awhile back re low light and high ISO. It shows a comparison. I thought of it after looking at your Exif info. I found that amping the ISO does help as long as you keep the aperture tighter and the shutterspeed up too. I thought I would not be able to get detail, but I was able to smooth things in processing. It came from one of the camera settings challenge, which is referenced in the collage. http://365project.org/darylo/didn-t-make-cut/2014-07-30

@darylo Thank you for that Daryl, very interesting, I will have to remember that for future use. I must admit, once I had got outside and realised just how dark it had gone, I kicked myself for not taking the flashgun out with me, thats my normal trick.
