It is quite interesting to put some cat food out and wait and see what comes to visit.
Here is a Wasp, look closely and you can see he has got a ball of food between his front feet. His jaws are just about to separate it from the rest of the food. He will then fly away back to the nest. He did this several times while I watched. Sometimes the ball of food was very big compared to his size.
