@ethelperry Thanks Ethel. It's quite easy to identify him, as we really only have one species of frog in the UK, the Common Frog, Rana temporaria. There are some attempts to try and reintroduce Pool Frogs which became extinct in the UK in the late 1990's. These are only found at a couple of sites, nowhere near me.
The how to do it ? Yes I have quite a large pond in the garden and plenty of frogs. This one has been living underneath an up turned plastic plant pot near the pond.
I also have a large reflection pool, basically a large six foot by six foot by four inch deep pond, placed on a large old wooden garden table. Then carefully placed logs, and moss etc have created a very natural looking setting. By placing different bird foods hidden from the camera I can draw down birds to pose for me as I sit in a hide.
I have been waiting for a sunny day when I had a bit of time, I carefully collected Freddy from under his plant pot, placed him in the reflection pool, took several shots from various angles and settings, and then placed Freddy back under his plant pot.
It's that simple ! Haha.
