To the right is the harbour at Amlwch Port. Across the road, facing the green house is another pub, the Liverpool Arms, though I must admit I prefer the Adelphi, the blue one. The chippy is okay, but not the worlds best.
Note the traffic bollards, made of copper, in keeping with the Copper Kingdom heritage centre.
@gardencat Thank you Joanne, a traditional chippy sells fish, chips, mushy peas, and gravy. The fish was normally cod, or haddock. They often do pies or steamed steak and kidney puddings. They always had a big jar of pickled eggs.
Nowadays, many offer far more. Sauages, black puddings, in Scotland red or White pudding too, plus haggis. They will even let you order that delicacy of a battered and deep-fried Mars Bar !!!
Curry sauce, or even chinese meals.
I've even seen, but never tried, deep fried pizza !!
