That is quite the reach he’s going for. This swan looks darker in plumage than I’m used to seeing. Wondering if it is the season that brings in different feather tones or something in the light of this particular shot.
@gardencat Thank you Joanne, it is a young one. They are the origin of the Ugly Duckling story. They take a couple of years from hatching to growing into the completely white adult plumage.
