As a group Shield Bugs, can be quite hard to distinguish between. They have several different stages of development, with the same species often being a totally different colour, than the earlier stage.
However, I am pretty sure these are adult winter coloured Common Green Shield Bugs, one of two pairs I found in the garden today.
They are also known as Stink Bugs.
