A solitary Scots Pine, way above the normal tree line, toppled by the ferocious winds up here, has continued to grow. There is even a young one, probably from a seed of this tree, beginning to emerge.
@koalagardens It is a long way up, by it's self, but the forests below are being cleared of non native species, and a long term project to protect and replant native species over a very large area is under way.
