Female House Sparrow (Passer domesticus) busy feeding in a Hawthorn bush, despite there being a large selection of quality Avian cuisine readily available, she appeared to be very happy risking the long sharp thorns to open up next years buds and get something out of them. What ever she was getting was yellow and is visible in her beak.
