Gorgeous. If you have ever been to the Heather Centre, which is a cafe, art gallery, antique place, it has a wee wildlife watching area, and if you are lucky the Red Squirrels will come to eat the nuts.
@abimagery Thank you Ann, yes I have been to the Heather Centre quite regularly on my trips up to Aviemore and it is very good. In fact, I took this shot on the Friday, but also visited this same location on the Thursday looking for Crested Tits. After sitting on the floor leaning against a tree waiting for things to appear and having a Woodpecker on the tree right above me, I could hear him but could not get my head far enough back to see him. Then he pooped on me and flew away. Finally I could not feel my fingers any more and I went to get some dinner and went to the Heather Centre. Excellent food.
@abimagery Ann, and there is another place in the area were you can sit and eat and watch the Red Squirrels on the feeders is the Revack Estate. Fabulous food with the most wonderfully coloured side salads and garnishes. The food is sooo brilliantly coloured I have seen people taking pictures of their dinner. Gardens and walks as well.
