LOOKING INTO THE GHRU

Looking across to the Cairngorms, to the left is Cairngorm Mountain itself, the pass in between the mountains is the Aviemore end of the Lairig Ghru, that goes through to Braemar well over 20 miles away. If you look at the bottom of the photo just off left, you might see a dark line that looks like a wall (it's not) reaching up to the long white flash of snow, where these meet is roughly where I walked to when I went up there. If you did not read the story of my walk the links are down below. Don't be deceived by the scale, these are big mountains.
