This is the latest exhibit at Liverpool's Bombed-Out Church, the sculpture is named All Together Now, designed by Andy Edwards. About to shake hands,it captures the moment English and German soldiers stopped fighting and played football on Christmas Day 1914.
The statue will be on display for a week before being transported to Flanders in Belgium to go on display there.
The black lines running up the walls on the church are actually charred timber which were once part of the fabric of the building. Also on display in the church are the linked and draped football scarves from clubs all over the world, which were donated to Liverpool Football Club for the 25th Hillsborough Memorial Service earlier this year.
