Well, not quite. I had put this half coconut filled with fat and other birdie goodies up, and retired to a safe distance and waited with camera. I didn't expect to get a shot from this straight away, I thought I was more likely to see something in the bushes. However within a couple of minutes this Coal Tit flew in to see what new was on offer.
My son spent his summer break from uni, working in a factory which make these. He was able to bring me some rejects but I don't think I'll have the patience needed to photograph them being enjoyed. Lovely pic
@plainjaneandnononsense Thanks Jane, it's in amongst a lot of other different feeders, so there are always a lot of birds around. I was just surprised that something found this one so fast. Once the birds begin to get used to you acting like a tree in the garden, some of them will ignore the fact you are there. Just try and find somewhere comfy.
