For some reason, known only to her fiendish feline mind, the cat didn't want her food.
I left it outside, a few minutes later, I passed it and noticed that the Greenbottles had found it and were swarming all over it. I don't know how word got around between them but there were literally dozens all over the cat food.
I would never have guessed that there were that many in the local vicinity. Although looking rather gross, I did think it made too good a photographic opportunity to ignore.
If you have the nerve to look closely, it would appear that the main Greenbottle, has a damaged eye.
