Although there were many fence posts holding the barbed wire fence in place, this was the only one with a collection of snails.

@s4sayer I wondered that, but couldn't find an answer. None of the other posts had any on the top, and I looked around the bases in the long grass of some of the others and couldn't find any hidden away either.
An puzzling question.
