Wonderful facial portrait. I love the water droplets clinging to the feathers. Is this a wild bird?

@mwerner Thank You Mike. Yes this is a "wild" bird. It is one of a large flock on a canal near the River Mersey. They are free to fly out on to the river or wherever else they wish to go. Their numbers drop significantly in spring/summer as they move away to breed.
However, many people go down to feed them and they are quite used to people. As it was cold with not many people down there, they must have been hungry and a couple even tried to nibble the camera.
Its not unusual for them to visit the nearby housing estate, eating the grass on the front lawns and sometimes roosting there.

Its quite comical at times, you will see six or seven swans slowly walking in a long line down the middle of the road, with a queue of vehicles slowly following them, till they turn off back to the canal.
