Yes, okay, before you get confused, this is a Great Crested Grebe and not a Swallow.
However the Grebe has tipped his head back, to swallow the fish he carefully washed yesterday.
When my daughter was"knee high to grasshopper" we had a set of animal related flash cards for her - I could never understand why they would include a grebe, but now I can recognise them with ease in a line up, so I guess it worked.
