YELLOW SLUG by markp

YELLOW SLUG

His scientific name, ( Limacus flavus), I found this little beauty while working in the garden. Normally strictly nocturnal, I brought him out into the light of day for a few minutes.
The slightly darker patterned area is his shield mantle, and the hole in it is his respiratory hole. It is through this that he breathes.
Super image and detail --- guess you never see this close up and then when you do it's like whoa - amazing little thing.

Oh, gosh - do I have to admire this?
