Kick off ? Bully Off ? Jump Ball ?
I don't know, but I like my term of Stick Up for the start of a game of Shinty.
So two opposing players stand side by side at the centre spot of the field. Other players stand around the centre circle. The referee approaches the two centre players, he throws the ball up as high as he can up above the players and then runs backwards as fast as he can, to get out of the way of the flailing camans.
And so the fun begins !!
