After nearly 4 years there are only 2 obscure pictures of the Euromast (1958-1960) in my album. I had to make up for that.
It is an observation tower built for the 1960 Floriade, designed by Hugh Maaskant on the North bank of the river Maas. For a short period it was the tallest building in Rotterdam (101m). In 1970 a 85m Space Tower was added to the top of the building, regaining this position. Up to this day the Euromast is the tallest building in The Netherlands that is open to public. A rotating elevator (the black circular object at the top) brings you all the way up to 180m.
