In 1609 Henry Hudsun failed miserably in his search for a shortcut to china for the VOC. He ended up in what the Dutch called Manahatta. The discovery of New York was a fact.
This replica was built in 1989 by Andrew Hendrick, an American with Dutch roots. It came all across the Atlantic from the Netherland Museum in New York.
