@annied it’s a WW2 bunker. Part of a German commando post on a confiscated estate named Clingendeal. Arthur Seyss-Inquart build a huge bunker a few yards from here. This particular bunker is collapsed en filled with dirt. The hatch was closed for years but now it seems smoke hole for the local youth. I’m not sure what’s left of the interior because I didn’t go down. I was already glad to make it to the roof :-)
@mastermek wow! interesting story - as a teenager I ventured down into an air raid shelter on the grounds of an old Jewish nursing home in Sydney Australia - it was an eerie experience even though local teens had obviously been in there before.
