Google is very wrong there. 'To nibble' doesn't really exist in Noregian; the closest is 'småspise' - '(to) eat small (bits)'. 'Å mekke' is diminutive slang for 'to work at something mechanical¨or synonymous to 'å fikse/reparere' - 'to fix/repair'. It comes from th eword 'mekaniker' - 'mechanic'.
