The DFSK Seres 3 is an American initiative (by SF Motors) funded by the Chinese. In simple words, it’s a Chinese Tesla with a relative old technique with which they introduce the new brand (in Europe).
The newer version Seres 5 and 7 (available later in 2021) will be much more innovative, so it is said.
DFSK stands for Dongfeng and Chongqing Sokon Industry Group or Dongfeng Sokon in short. Or 东风小康 in Chinese :-) A catchy brandname probably was not on the wishlist.
