I love city skylines.

That does add something to the skyline.

@byrdlip The Wheel became an instant part of the skyline. I don't know anyone who complains about it. Fully private ownership as well. No government money went to build it.

Another wonderful long exposure of the Great Wheel. I think this is the nicest color I've seen on it so far. Not so fond of the neon green and purples that it occasionally sports. The blue complements the water front much more :)

@attraversi This was short exposure/ 1/30 handheld on the ferry coming in. I was doing longer exposures a few weeks ago. http://365project.org/mcrt/365/2012-12-10

Fantastic!

@mcrt Amazing shot for being handheld and on a ferry coming in, no less. Docking has lost its thrill ever since they backed off of "ramming speed" :-)

@byrdlip After they smashed a few docks they had to ease up a little.

@bkbinthecity @nanalisarocks This is the first shot of the Wheel that I have with all the lights on. It looks beautiful that way.

Fantastic shot, Mike!

@mstipe Thanks. Feels a little strange not taking pictures each day. I think tomorrow will be a picture day again.

So beautiful! I still cannot believe I have ridden in that dang thing yet! Have you?
January 19th, 2013
@lauriez I rode it opening day. I need to go back and do it again.

@mcrt That's so cool! I was down there when the owner & his son rode for the very first time, before it opened to the public! I wanted to ride on my bd last week, but it was such a nasty day out I figured I wouldn't even be able to see Alki through the rain & mist! Soon though...! I have pix of it on my project here on Oct. 17 & June 23! :)

@lauriez One of my favorite pictures of the wheel was from May 18. http://365project.org/mcrt/seconds/2012-05-18 June 29 was the actual opening day. http://365project.org/mcrt/365/2012-06-29
