Kiwi - Macro by megpicatilly

Kiwi - Macro

An extremely dull image today, but it was taken as part of an 'Introduction to Macro Photography' course that @suesouthwood and I went to. There is a lot to learn about this genre and only realized today, how scientific it is. Probably the reason I struggle with it!
Super shot

@ziggy77 Thank you Jo - not inspirational by any means, but a record of my day!! Thank you for the fav and hope you feel better soon.

@365anne thank you for your encouragement. It was quite absorbing and a fun way to spend a morning!

Snap!! Well I put mine in my alternative album!

@suesouthwood Think this could be described as 'alternative' !

No, I think it is really clear. It looks as though some of the seeds are sprouting.

super details!

I'm wondering how it would look in b&w....

An eye opener! All sorts of possibilities spring to mind using a macro . . .

A cool macro

Fascinating...especially as I have kiwi every morning, a small, very small portion for Mitzi at lunch time. She loves it! VML your shot too. Looks like you learned lots.

Excellent detail.

Wonderful detail in your macro - you must have caught on quickly last night.

Sounds like an interesting course to do. You might be able to pass on some tips on 365.

Nothing dull about it at all Catherine. So much that goes to make up an everyday piece of fruit. A shot like this would have so much impact blown up really big. Success with your course.

@dawnee Thank you!

@s4sayer It is a beautiful fruit - when it is magnified like this, there is so much to see! Does Mitzi like any other fruit? Thank you for the fav.

@onewing Thank you Babs

@milaniet Thank you! I have a lot to learn!
January 22nd, 2017
@365projectorgjenfurj It was very interesting. A lot of 'numbers' involved, which I will never get to grips with!
January 22nd, 2017
@chillen Thank you so much for your encouragement. Objects magnified look so different!
January 22nd, 2017
Well done

@megpicatilly I used to struggle a bit with the numbers. Since starting 365 I bought a compact camera Panasonic Lumix TZ70 so I had something lightweight to carry around with me. It has a macro zoom which is great and works really well.

Really sparkles and looks very yummy.

@photobird I bought a compact for my son's wedding - it does so much, but I keep forgetting about it! Must get it out again. Thank you for reminding me.
