Wow, very striking image! What is lite brite, never heard...? It could be even more powerful, if you carefully rotate and crop it totally symmetrical ? Or is this my OCD talking again... I also think the frames are not necessary, because the image is so strong. But I really like it, it gives me a "warning sign" -vibe.
@janmaki -They don't have lite brite in Finland? That's just sad. Lite-Brite is a toy, which allows the user to create glowing designs. It is a light box with small colored pegs that fit into a grid of holes and together create a lit piece of art. Using the colored pegs the user can create designs from imagination or by following stencils.
I did not realize it was not symmetrical until you pointed it out, so thank you for pointing that out to me.
Completely unedited, the photo looked like this: http://i1218.photobucket.com/albums/dd409/mej2011/DSCN3150.jpg
which I found to be very boring.
@mej2011 I need a Lite-Brite ! Unedited photo is not as striking, but not boring either. It screams "Look at me, I'm awesome if you edit me a bit..." :-)
@janmaki- I'm sure you could find a Lite Brite on ebay, although I don't know what shipping costs would be like.
Apparently my problem is that I don't know the difference between what is "a bit" and too much. Thank you for all of your advice!
I love lite-brites!! This is perfect for your "fondness for boosting"!! Jani's right, super striking. I like how we both did yellow for the letter Y but they're so incredibly different:)
@pwallis -Thanks! I did not boost this one. Picnik has a new feature called "heat map 2.0" so I felt the need to play around with that.
You're right, they are different and yours was much better!
@mej2011 ~ hehe ! yesterday was a tough day , my youngest has got some intense speech therapy homework so that on top of normal life bogged me down yesterday, hopefully im back on an even keel again now tho :)
Yay I'm getting your notifications today! I don't think mine was better at all, in fact, if you look closely at it - you'll see I missed the driver's side wing mirror when I was doing the selective colouring. Grrr. Can't believe you didn't need to boost this - I'll have to check out this heat map thingy.
