Anything I do or say better be okay when I have a bad hair day.

This is the first of my song series. The lyric is taken from Shania Twain's "Any Man of Mine" which can be heard here: http://youtu.be/8N2k-gv6xNE
Oh a new series ! How do you select the songs ? Can I pick one for you ?!?!

Critique part : The pic is not that focused, due to monstrous zooming I suppose. I think you could turn this to your advantage by making it look like this is picture on TV or something like that... You could take a pic of TV and slap this pic on it, or maybe even cinemascope effect in picnik would add to the illusion...

@janmaki-With this particular song, I had it in mind to go with a picture of this bird as soon as I saw the bird. Other than that, the plan is to put the ipod on shuffle and see what inspiration comes from what songs. Yes, you are more than welcome to suggest a song. Maybe I should post a discussion asking for song ideas?
Interestingly, I could not really get this bird into focus regardless of how much I zoomed or not. To me, the monstrous zoom looked better.
I had not thought about blending this photo with a photo of a television. I like that idea. I will keep it in mind for other shots.
I did try this photo with the cinemascope effect, while I liked the "cropped' look of it, I was not impressed with the change of color that resulted from that effect.

I also now realize that I should have used a black font instead of white.

@mej2011 about the font - Try making a dark text, then duplicate the text in picnik (right mouse click - duplicate) and then move the duplicate a pixel or two & change its color to lighter one. Now you have a cool "shadow" under the text and it pops better from a busy background.

I'll think of a song for you....

@janmaki -I'll have to try that. Thanks! I didn't include text with today's but maybe tomorrow.
