I wish I could have gotten this rainbow to be brighter, but nothing I tried worked. I eventually settled for using picnik's orton-ish combined with picnik's 1960's (without the round edges) effects.
You are posting some great stuff lately! I mean, it's no hambone but.....I love your composition here, the big sky (with, of course that big rainbow) and the minimal foreground, and the tones of this are so pleasing to the eye. Another fav for me
@pwallis
So this shot is good, or it's good like the hambone? lol. Thanks so much! @janmaki Thanks Jani! I tried to make the rainbow more visible, but obviously didn't work. I tried cropping out the porch, but then I would have ended up cropping out the other buildings, and I like them.
@mej2011 The hambone is in a class all it's own. And I'm with @janmaki - I think you should revisit the hambone. Hambone 2!! It would give you a chance to show how far you've advanced photographically since you started the project....
@pwallis@mej2011
Hambone 2 is so long overdue, that I think you could go directly to Hambone 3. I have one rainbow shot too, and haven't yet figured out how to make the rainbow stand out without looking unnatural...

You may have a point. We'll see, I still have 197 photos left to take. Wow! That's a lot!
