HDR Plane by mej2011

HDR Plane

Here is a filler from March 28th. I like how the plane looks as if the sun is bouncing off of it, giving it a golden color.
The composition is pretty awesome! I like how the jet trail comes from the corner and the plane is quite close to being placed according to rule of thirds. It is just pleasing. Golden plane looks cool too, but the grain in the sky is a bit distracting due to the grain color...

@janmaki
I never understood the rule of thirds concept, so I'm glad that this photo is semi-right in that regard. I agree on the sky being distracting, I don't recall, as this was taken a few months ago, but I'm sure there was some monstrous zoom going on in order to get the shot, and then HDR just magnifies that.

@mej2011 just divide the pic into 3x3 grid and place the focal point on the gridlines, the sweetest spot is where the lines intersect. HDR effect really magnifies everything, I usually don't use it all because of that...

@janmaki
I don't use it much either, but I liked how this came out aside from the sky. Thanks for the tip on the rule of thirds.

@zero_rhetoric
Thanks Oren!

I agree with Jani, your composition on this is super! And I love that blue as well, too bad about the graininess. I'm not a fan of Picnik's HDR'ish effect because of that. I think I've used it on one shot, and only cause I wanted it to look grainy.

@pwallis
Thanks Paula! I think this might the second time I've used it, I'll hopefully remember not to use it again.

@pwallis
Awwwww Thanks! I've actually been thinking about that theme, but can't come up with anything. Side note, Amy Hughes just posted the second Tag Challenge.
June 29th, 2011
@mej2011 I saw. I got dark and kitten. lol - where the hell am I going to find a kitten? I live in the city, there aren't just random kittens running around!
June 29th, 2011
@pwallis
Really? I see stray cats all the time. I can't pick any. I keep getting stuck between two tags or I end up all the way at the top of the page. lol.

@pwallis @mej2011
Decided to try to get me some tags and got "face paint" ... done that already so I'll skip. "Dark Kitten" could be a selfie ...? :-)

@pwallis @netkonnexion @mej2011 ~ I've heard of this Tag Challenge thing, but don't know how it works. I'd sure like to share the love by sharing my cat mask, though. ;)

June 29th, 2011
@jgoldrup Here's the original link, which explains how to do it, but for this one you have to tag it tag-challenge2
