30 Day Song Challenge for September
Day 7 - A song that reminds you of an event
Today I had an event in my mind and the photograph for it, but couldn't come up with a song that would remind me of that event, so I had to settle for something easier. Obviously, this correlates with the song "Graduation Song" by Vitamin C, which can be heard here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-8dM66DFNc&feature=related .
Editing consisted of Picnik's Adjustable Threshold technique, which I had never used before. Aside from the statue not being centered, I think it looks okay. What do you think?
Yeah it looks good. Black background makes it pop.
In case you want to experiment with composition and POV, this would be a cool subject. For example, now your POV is a bit above... how about taking the pic at the same level or maybe even a bit below ? Compositionally, what if the subject is not centered ? Or what if you zoom out and make the black space huge vs. the subject size.... Not saying this as a critique, just that this kind of experiment can give some ideas for other shots.
