Cool shelves - very unusal in this empty state :-). "Lack of inspiration" would be a nice weekly theme for the winter. I would participate in that challenge.
You know, I looked for shelves like this for ages when we were doing up the nursery. I finally found them, but they weren't the exact ones I wanted. I love these ones.

I've wanted these for a long time as well. I would love to do a whole wall of them. Unfortunately, I am not sure how conducive that would be as most of my things that require shelving are heavy text books. Also, they'd all have to be pretty low to the ground, which would probably look silly. I haven't figured out yet where to place these.
well I totally see an abstract shot here. Look at those shapes and lines, how light hits some parts, how there are cool shadows.... Try increasing the contrasts (adjustable thresholding in picnik f.ex.), to make them look less shelves and more just shapes.
