I spent about an hour in the yard today taking photos. Editing for this tree trunk shot consisted of picnik's black and white effect and a small crop.

I like the parrallel line of the basketball court in the background.

Nice and sharp black and white, and that fluffy cloud there is my favourite kind of sky for monochrome shots.

It's too bad the cloud wasn't higher in the sky. I do have some cloud shots in black and white, but I haven't really looked at them yet.
