No, Not really.

I'm stealing @pwallis 's Friday Filler idea...again.

This was actually taken March 18th 2012.

While down at the lake I noticed these "wheelchair accessible" tables. Unfortunately, the lack of cement path to and from the tables, makes them really ineffective as far as accessibility goes. Grass and gravel are NOT a wheelchair's friend. Anyways, I thought it was funny so I took the picture. Editing consisted of Picnik's auto fix and then collage.
That is the way a lot of things in this city were planned too :-). I like this - it says something about the way we think sometimes.

To the people who designed this, they probably think it IS wheelchair friendly. I would have thought so too, until I had a baby. Strollers work on much the same principle as wheelchairs. And I am now more than qualified to give a wheelchair accessible tour of our fair city (should you happen to stop by for a visit:)
On another note, that sky on the left is really pretty!

@equinoxe
Thanks Chris, I agree except, I think it says something about the lack of thinking that goes on sometimes.

@pwallis
Which is why they should have people who are in wheelchairs either design this stuff, or at least have several people with different levels of disabilities try it out. Obviously it might be fine for some, but not others. This then posses the question of does being okay for "some" but not all, make it truly accessible. Yeah okay, I'm doing rambling. lol.

@janmaki
Thanks Jani! I honestly hadn't really noticed the sky.
