My "Get Pushed" challenge for week two was set by @geertje "Hey Melissa, it's Geertje here for the Get pushed challenge. I had a looksy through your photo's. I see a lot of nature and a lot of close-ups and macro's. So here's your challenge: give me a city-scape! (or a town-scape ;) I'm looking for something almost completely man-made. I hope you will enjoy this, have fun!"
I live in a fairly small community so I wasn't sure how to go about this challenge. The closest city isn't all that big either, certainly it's no Chicago. As a result, there really isn't a skyline which is what most people think of when they think of cityscape photo. Anywho, I traveled into the city anyways and came across this little strip of stores. Ideally I would have liked to have gotten a wider shot of the entire strip of stores. Unfortunately A)It was too hot, and I didn't want to get my wheelchair out of the trunk. B)I would have ended up with cars in the shot. And finally, the people walking about scared me. lol.
Editing for this shot consisted of Picmonkey's crop, straighten,Time Machine, Norma, and finally 20% fade.
I hope this fits somewhat into the expectations of the challenge.
Hi Melissa, this was what I had in mind! You found the beauty in an old shop-front! Love it! And I was laughing a bit about the people that scared you. I think we all know how you feel, but they do add some interest. But this is a perfectly fine and well-processed street-shot!
Now I need some time to crack your challenge... I have an idea in mind, but I'm not sure if it will work. Well, you'll see later today...

Hi Melissa, I'm so sorry I didn't fulfil your challenge. I had a bad week health-wise and that always reflects on my creativity. So, I made a shot today. I'll upload it later this evening. I know I can't enter any more, but i hope you'll like it.

I had a look through your photos. I challenge you to take a night shot with long exposure (3 to 20 seconds). With or without tripod as you like. I played with it last week myself and it was fun! Enjoy and looking forward what you come up with!
