You would think, since I've just started year 3, that I would remember to make sure my memory card is in the camera BEFORE I take pictures. I had a really nicely lit male house finch photo, but it's stuck on my camera for the time being.
I like the lighting on the gold finch on the right, but wish the lighting was better on the rest of this photo. Oh well.

I'll do my best Justin! Being a full time college student, I can't promise that I'll be able to do a whole month of them. But, I'll certainly throw some in now and again for you! Thanks so much for the request!
@david68
Thanks David! I have to say though I'm not happy with it. The bokeh bothers me (just looks like grain to me) and the lighting issue I mentioned in the caption.
Hmm, ok but I think with only 1 bird beautifully lit up it gives the image a single point of focus. If 2 birds were lit up it might be OK but it might be a distraction too.
With the noise, if there is any it is absolutely minimal. The ISO in the shot was set to 160 so your not getting noise from pushing the camera beyond it's limits. Any noise here is perfectly normal and acceptable unless you were blowing it up into a mural and even then, I have seen way more noise than that in images that have been made murals in shop fit outs.
I think you have every reason to be happy with this shot. It's well done all round.

Interesting, I wouldn't think that a mile would make much difference.
Thanks! Ours don't seem to eat anything else.

Thanks for the feedback, and the follow. Maybe I'm just the type that is never happy with their work.
