I shot this chunk of food on manual & black and white. I then Advanced HDR'd it via ipiccy.
Not sure I like it, looks a bit "busy".
What do you think?

Chunk of food.... sounds a lot like hambone to me !! The shot does look busy. HDR brings out all the detail even more, so it might look better to not use that effect in this one...

I wanted to bring out the details in the wood. I just didn't take the grass into account. And, I used manual in order to get the black and white as opposed to shooting in color and then converting, so I didn't get the dof I would have liked, which I think would have helped it look less "busy". Thanks for the opinion.
