Abstract Bokeh

An outtake from yesterday's fork adventures that I kind of liked.
Editing consisted of 1960's effect in Ribbet
Well now, that's very cool. :) The edit is quite delicious. Perhaps just a teeny-tiny bit of more fork shape would've been even better. But the bokeh makes up for it. :)

@joa
I think you're right. Sadly, I was either getting all bokeh or all fork.
April 4th, 2013
@mej2011 Right, I can see how that'd happen. *cough*newcamera*cough*
April 4th, 2013
@joa
Are you coming down with a cold? You should see a doctor. :P
April 4th, 2013
@mej2011 No, I'm as healthy as they come. :D It's just me living by proxy - I've been trying to get Jani to buy a new camera, too. :D Because I know you'd both have a ball with a new camera. :D
April 4th, 2013
@joa
What does he need a new camera for? Is there something more advanced than what he's got now?
April 4th, 2013
@mej2011 Oh, definitely. He's basically shooting with an entry level DSLR (just like I am) and he could totally get quite a bit more out of a pro or semi-pro body. He does an amazing job with the one he has and totally does prove the fact that it's not about the technology but the eye & creativity of the photographer - but he's been talking about a new one for a while now. So I try to encourage him - I'd love to see the results! :)
April 4th, 2013
@joa
See, if it's about the eye and creativity of the photographer, I DON'T need a new camera. :P
April 4th, 2013
@mej2011 But sometimes it helps the photographer's mind, eye and creativity to have a camera that can do what the photographer is planning. Like perfectly focused selfies. :P
April 4th, 2013
@joa
I don't believe there is such a thing. :P
April 4th, 2013
Ha, that's where you're wrong! :D I think we both know a few prime examples of the existence of such. :D
April 4th, 2013
@joa
I know nothing of which you speak......
April 4th, 2013
@mej2011 Jani will be hurt. :P
April 4th, 2013
@joa
Jani knows he's one of my favorites!
April 4th, 2013
@mej2011 But you've conveniently forgotten his pinsharp selfies? :P
April 4th, 2013
@joa
No, I was merely stating, and I'm sure that he would agree, that there is ALWAYS room for improvement. Seriously, do you not remember a few weeks ago when he uploaded and deleted the same photo 5 times because he was unhappy with it?
April 4th, 2013
@mej2011 Nyah, sometimes there are perfect shots. :D And yes, of course I remember, he's silly that way. :D (It's improvement in general that is necessary, but that still doesn't mean there aren't single perfect shots. Heh - you're challenging me into a debate here, so entertaining!)
April 4th, 2013
@joa
I don't even know what we're debating anymore. All I know is DINOSAURS!!!!!!!!!!!!
April 4th, 2013
(And I find it really funny, that we've hijacked your comments just the two of us - two views and loads of comments... Lol! We may need to take this to FB at some point... Hahaha!)
April 4th, 2013
@mej2011 Bugs! :D
April 4th, 2013
@joa
I was just thinking the same thing. But at least it's moved up from 1 view. :) Um....I've "liked" your photography page, but I haven't found your profile.
April 4th, 2013
@joa
And how does one hijack their own comments????????????????????
April 4th, 2013
@mej2011 With extreme skill and stealth and stuff. :D (Hmm, you haven't? It should be visible when you search me... You'll definitely know my profile pic...)
April 4th, 2013
@joa
Welp, you've managed to find me somehow.....Unless you're randomly facebook friending anyone named Melissa. lol
April 4th, 2013
@mej2011 Umm, not a difficult task seeing that you liked my previous status update on my photo site. :D I was taking a wild guess. :D
April 4th, 2013
@joa
I did? Was it in English? lol
April 4th, 2013
@mej2011 Yes... :D It was only in English - I usually do both Finnish and English on the photo page. :)
April 4th, 2013
@joa
Now I'll have to find it again. My memory is HORRIBLE! Ask Paula. I don't even know how many times we've had a conversation about what she did for a living before Pickle was born.
April 4th, 2013
@mej2011 Haha, well, appropriately it was about my wireless remote... :D The circle has now closed. :D
April 4th, 2013
@joa
Ah! I remember now... I wonder why my camera isn't compatible with one...hmmmmm
April 4th, 2013
these vintage tones are so cool.
April 4th, 2013
@janim
Thanks! I tried inverting, which gave it a nifty looking blue color, I think the blackish notes work better with the red.
April 4th, 2013
@mej2011 Hmm. Yours isn't a DSLR, is it? On the other hand, I have no idea how that'd affect anything... :D Hahah. But I don't think my PowerShot SX20IS had a wireless remote possibility, either. Not that I was interested in one, back in those days. (Wayyyyy after the dinosaurs and mammoths.)
April 4th, 2013
@joa
No. I think they call mine a "bridge" camera. This is what I'm shooting with. http://www.amazon.com/Nikon-P100-Vibration-Reduction-Black/dp/B0034XFG86/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1365107272&sr=8-1&keywords=nikon+coolpix+p100
Is that before or after the bug. I'm so confused?!
April 4th, 2013
@mej2011 My PowerShot was one of those "super zoom" / bridge ones, as well. But with a little bit of surfing, I noticed that the kind folks of Nikon are saying that the P100 isn't compatible with any of their remotes. :/ So, you need a new camera. :D
April 4th, 2013
@mej2011 Oh, and the PowerShot was a lot after the first Bug, but after (and during) the second one. :D
April 4th, 2013
@joa
Yes, I did some searching and saw about the P100 as well. Jerks.
April 4th, 2013
@mej2011 Rather unfortunate. Well, you'll upgrade one day, I'm sure. :) You can still get close-up selfies - as long as you can reach the shutter release button, you should be fine. :D But I'm heading off to bed now, talk to you later again. :D
April 4th, 2013
@joa
Yes, one day I will upgrade. Have a good night!
April 4th, 2013
@mej2011 Probably sooner than later. ;) You, too. :)
April 4th, 2013
Well, I think the colors and bokehed whatever are fabulous, I don't know why all 40 of the comments aren't saying that! It's a very cool shot.
April 5th, 2013
@anwan
lol. My comment(those I give and receive) tend to be a bit random. lol.
Thanks! It's the tines on fork that is making the bokeh.
April 5th, 2013
Wow there's a LOT of chatter going on on this shot! I love the tones, and of course, BOKEH!!!
April 6th, 2013
@westcoastwallis
Ha! I've been a chatty gal lately I guess. For some reason the weird black bits are my favorite part. Almost gives it an asian vibe to me, which is very reminiscent of the table I shot this on. So it's abstract, and yet not.
