I planned on uploading a photograph of the hummingbird necklace I received for my birthday, but after about 20 failed shots, I went back to my comfort zone.
I feel like this shot is on par with the bird shots I uploaded way back in 2011 when I first started this project. It's grainy. It's out of focus. The exposure is too dark for my liking..
Now I'm off to research how to select where my camera focuses.
I also like it anyway! If every shot had outstanding focus, colour, and composition we would never have those WOW moments when we upload pics to the laptop! It would be boring :)
Maybe if you up your ISO and increase the size of your aperture (not sure how possible this is on a P&S) which should enable you to shoot with a faster shutter speed and increase the sharpness of your image. It's good to capture a bird though. They're so quick! xx
