I Wish I was faster
Gold Finches must wish they were faster, since they're pretty much the only ones who will sit still long enough for me to photograph.
Shot this using my camera's "tracking" mode. I kind of like it, the beak is a bit fuzzy but the bird was eating so.
Editing consisted of a small crop.

Been a member off and on since 2011, honestly not sure if I've actually completed a full year or not. Shooting with a Nikon D3200...

This looks good to me! I've never had great success with birds.

Looks pretty good to me - no grain that I can see and it's sharp. Maybe add a bit of contrast, not much though.

Good DOF, there is plenty of detail in the feathers and I can see catchlights in the eyes. Fantastic effort.

Thanks! So now I must figure why some shots are sharp and others not, when variables are basically the same.

Cute bird shot! I see you like to take pictures of birds. I rarely can get close enough to get any good shots. I was lucky that my little bird was hungry and didn't mind me following him around the tree in my front yard.

Thanks! I love my birds! I actually do most of my shots through a sliding glass door from inside.
