Today I spent about an hour watching two different species of hawk (what I believe to be a Red Shouldered and Sharp Shinned, but please correct me if I'm wrong), squawk and posture over a Mourning Dove. From what I gather, the Sharp Shinned had the mourning dove and the red shouldered wanted it. Eventually the Red Shouldered flew away and the Sharp Shinned took a nibble or two before flying off. What they were both doing in my backyard at the same time, I have no idea.
I used my 55-200 lens for both of these shots which I then used to make a collage in Ribbet. I tried using Aperture, close up and sport modes so I'm not sure what mode these particular shots were taken with.
