Another flower from Charles' garden. The light was so harsh by the time I got out there. These flowers are a full chroma cadmium yellow light and very glaring in the sun. I remembered reading that one should try black and white in these conditions so I did. Eh. I need to channel Ansel Adams, I guess. :D
I remember Charles' garden so well from SC days. A never ending source of joy, and beauty and inspiration. Good old Ansel. You've managed to retain lovely detail in the B&W. (Did he do close ups like this? I only know about his landscapes and how he saved large tracts of beautiful American land for future generations through his photos)
@seacreature Thanks. I was referencing Ansel Adams' grey scale technique when I said I needed to channel him. :) But he did do close ups. I recall one of raindrops on a fern from Mt Ranier. And he did some flower close ups, too.
