Deconstructing.

Same spider. She's taking down her web for the day. She'll eat the silk of all the lines except the primary frame and the anchor lines. Late in the day she'll rebuild it for the coming night.
How fascinating. How do you know so much about so many things? Do all spiders do this or is it only this particular kind that eat up their webs and remake them?

@seacreature I get curious so I google. This spider is an orb web weaver. They usually eat their webs every day which recoups some of the protein and energy they expend by producing the silk. Other spiders are also known to eat their webs when the silk gets dirty or loses its stickiness. Recycling is only new to us. :)
