Horse Fly

Where there are no horses for miles and miles. Haven't seen one of these around here in decades. I'm glad it was on the outside of the jeep window.

Detest horse flies. They bite really badly

@seacreature I can't decide which I detest more; green head flies, horse flies, or deer flies. Probably green heads because they come in larger numbers and are as persistent as mosquitoes.

We have March flies here which appear in months other than March and also have a nasty bite.
