That does show nice motion. What is fun to try for panning is to even slow the shutter speed down more. You will probably have to make your aperture smaller and ISO number smaller to compensate. Then press shutter button while following subject. Hit and miss but fun.
@wakelys yes I did that but the down side was that as I shut it down to 1/40 and decreased the aperture I found that camera movement following the horses caused a blurring and lost the sharpness of the horse and rider with iso at 100. So decided to lift the shutter speed
